Transforming Dublin Airport

New Link from T1 to T2

Work is well advanced on the construction of a new elevated pedestrian corridor, linking Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, on the landside, or non security-constrained sides of each building.

The corridor, which can be seen by passengers as they approach terminal 1, is approximately 100 meters in length and 2.5 meters wide at floor level. It will link the landside arrivals level in Terminal 2 with the landside departures level of Terminal 1 and enable employees, passengers and other customers to transfer between both buildings without having to exit either.

Supported on columns anchored to the underlying bedrock, the new corridor will have a flat glazed wall on its northern or car parks side and a curved metal panel finish on the southern or terminals side.

A second airside corridor, linking both terminals, is also currently under construction.
