New Coach Park at Dublin Airport

The latest piece of the Transforming Dublin Airport jigsaw was put in place today with the opening of a dedicated new coach park to the rear of the multi-storey car parks and adjacent to the Church.

The new facility includes 13 parking bays for large three-axle coaches and 11 bays for smaller vehicles. Passengers travelling by long-distance coach to and from the airport will board and disembark at this new area, which is linked by a covered walkway to the passenger terminal.

The coach park will also be linked by a covered walkway to T2 when the latter becomes fully operational in late 2010.

The new facility has been delivered as part of the wider internal campus road project at Dublin Airport. The exit road for the coach park will also serve as a new exit for motorists leaving the multi-storey car parks.
