The curved design of the T2 check-in hall is now beginning to emerge.
Huge curved steel columns were erected at the rear of the check-in hall earlier this week. With the curved back of the check-in hall now taking shape, the relationship between the two main elements of Dublin Airport's new passenger terminal is becoming more clear.
The glass check-in hall is arguably the most architecturally exciting element of the new terminal and has been described as the “hero” of the overall T2 project.
The space between the check-in hall and the main T2 terminal building will eventually contain the new access road for Terminal One. Terminal Two will have its own dedicated departures and arrivals kerbs in front of the check-in hall.
